Prometric has set an ambition to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 across our entire value chain. This commitment guides how we reduce emissions across our operations, technology, supplier partnerships, and the testing experiences we deliver globally.

Improving energy efficiency and expanding renewable electricity across global operations, beginning with our headquarters and extending through sustainable procurement and optimization initiatives.
 

Lowering emissions across digital and global operations

Optimizing our technology footprint, partnering with cloud providers that support more sustainable computing, and reducing travel through virtual engagement and a smaller office footprint.

Transforming the testing experience

Expanding remote proctoring and improving test center accessibility to reduce candidate travel—the largest source of emissions in the testing industry.

Engaging suppliers in decarbonization

Encouraging emissions reporting, renewable energy adoption, and long-term decarbonization planning across our supplier ecosystem.

100% Renewable-powered headquarters

Baltimore, MD headquarters operates on 100% renewable electricity.

Renewable energy in Ireland operations

Dundalk, Ireland operations use the highest renewable energy percentage available from the local provider.

Sustainable workplace partnerships

Partnering with furniture manufacturers that use at least 40% recycled materials.

Measured emissions reductions

In 2025, achieved a 5% reduction in Scope 1, 23% in Scope 2, and 14% in Scope 3 emissions year over year.
